GM car tzar Bob Lutz did a good job of apologising for recent dull-as-dishwater Pontiacs. ‘Pontiac lost its tradition of style and performance.

I know, it’s more than a year since we reported that Ron Dennis was stepping down from his involvement in McLaren F1 to ‘Spend more time with the Family New Cars’ and almost a year since we reported that McLaren Automotive was being created as an independent company. So it seems a little odd to run a headline that says ‘McLaren Automotive Launch‘ when we’ve known about it for a year. But that year has been a busy one for Ron Dennis and the team at Woking.
